What I Learned :)

At first we learned all about HTML, with all the codes and all the names of the people who contributed to its success. It wasn’t really that bad, I learned a lot about how to make programs. Next, we learned all there is about blogs. I never expected there to be so many types of blogs! I learned much about the key events and the people involved in making the earliest blogs. Another lesson was about handcrafts. I enjoyed making the handicrafts even if it drove me a bit crazy. The frame, butterflies and orchids were fun to do. All in all, this was a productive year for me, I learned how to make even simple programs, and I made them work, I must say, I learned how to create blogs and I learned how to make some simple handicrafts.

Artificial orchid

In making the orchid, the part difficult for me was putting together all the pieces of the orchid. I learned how to be patient, because it was hard work.

Hey all you people! Come buy handcrafted orchids! Unlike orchids sold in department stores, these come in bigger size! So come buy one now!

Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events :)

I like movies which are based from books, especially when I have read them, or am about to. One of the movies I like is Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events. This is a story that shows the misfortune of the Baudelaire children, Violet, the inventor, Klaus, the reader and Sunny, the biter. It all starts when their parents died in a terrible fire that burned their whole house, in which they were now called the Baudelaire orphans. They were left with an enormous fortune that Violet will inherit when she comes of age. Count Olaf, their first guardian, is out to get their fortune. And wherever they go, he finds a way to get his hands on them.

I chose this story because it shows how three children are able to survive all the trials life has put them through. They use their skills and each other to overcome all their fears.

The part that struck me most is whenever the three would be able to find a solution to their difficulties. Because here you see that these children are very clever indeed. Violet ties her hair up to keep them out of her eyes and lets the gears in her inventive mind work to find the right invention to get them out of their dilemma. Klaus concentrates hard on all the books he has read, which he all remembers, and finds the facts that would help them escape their predicament. Sunny, who is just a baby, looks at her brother and sister find a way out.

I can relate to Klaus the most because just like him, I love books. And anywhere I go, I always tend to bring a book with me, because reading relieves my boredom.

The moral of this story, for me, is that even if all odds seem to turn on you, just as long as you have family beside you, you will be able to get through.

family day :)

Students spend their time together with their families and friends. Schools always have family days. Ours was celebrated last February 24, 2008 at the William Kreutz Campus or more commonly known as Tumaga Campus. A motorcade started at La Purisima going to Tumaga. Upon arriving, parents went to register, then a mass was held, officiated by the ADZU President, Fr. Antonio Moreno, SJ. Then the images and covered sidewalk was blessed. Then the program began. There were many games and surprises. Selected second year students danced. [PURPLE QUEUE && KREIOLAS] After that many people witnessed a colorful fireworks display.Everyone present, went home with smiles in their faces.

picture frame :)

I felt proud of what I've done. Because I did this frame on all on my own. I hope through this, my creativity is shown. For me, when I compare it to picture frames sold in department stores, I would say that mine is unique.
